Bossard's journey to professional success began in 1999 with a job aboard the F/V Sunset. The 65-foot vessel, which was a halibut fishing vessel, was transformed into a tender for salmon by Murat Ariatn. He has been commercial fishing for over 20 years. Bossard was married to Aritan in 1999, and the couple have teamed up in fighting for their company. They are both in favor of conservative and profitable management of sustainable seafood resources. Otolith is an independent wholesale distributor of seafood that was started in Philadelphia in 2007 by a now-mother of two kids, Bella aged 3, and Andre aged 1.
